Honesty At It's Best

I posted this quote a while back on my instagram. This is truly how I treat everyone and how I expect to be treated. Sometimes it gets me in a heap of mess, but I know I did the right thing by being honest.

I have not always been this way. I once was a liar. A habitual liar. If it got me where I wanted to be or got me what I wanted, I did it. If a lie helped someone feel better, I would tell it.

That was ten years ago. I'm no where near like this today. I can't for the life of me tell a lie. I would try then within 5 minutes tell you that I lied! No joke! I get told daily that I couldn't rob a bank!

I am an honest person. I'm not perfect by any means and that's not the point of me telling you this. What I want you to know is that being honest hurts sometimes. But I'd rather know the truth than go on with life not knowing or thinking a lie was the truth. (you follow me?)

A few weeks ago a friend asked me why I had not talked to her. I had not talked to her in a few months. (Back story: she has some home drama I was almost dragged into. I didn't want to be involved so I distanced myself.) I told her that I had just been busy with work and home life and asked how she was. Her response? "You know that ain't the truth. I know you knew that he was cheating on me and you didn't tell me. I thought we were friends."

Whoa! Y'all, that lit a fire under my ass! So I tried to sugar coat it and lie and as always, it didn't work. I let her know real quick that I was not involved in what was going on in her relationship with her husband. I would be a shoulder to lean on but she was not going to put me in the middle of something I had no clue about. By the end of the conversation she was done with me and I was done with her. She was rude and accusing me of something I didn't do. It totally caught me off guard! It ruined my whole week y'all! It tore my nerves up!

It hurt. It hurt that she and I would probably no longer be friends. We always had a good time together. But she couldn't take my honesty. She tried to turn it into something bad, but I had done nothing but tell her the truth. I guess some people can't handle the truth. That's where my quote at the top comes in. I'd rather cry about the truth than smile about a lie. I don't expect anyone to lie to me but it happens everyday. I'd rather know the truth and get it over with. If everyone in the world told the truth imagine what today's society would be like. Could we handle the truth?

In Love & Still Lovin

Happy Monday Y'all! It was an alright weekend, nothing to write home about, if you know what I mean! I'm just waiting on Spring to arrive and stay for a while! Today I'm sharing with you what I am currently in love with and what I am still in love with!

I am absolutely in love with my new lotion! I have always been on the lookout for a non-greasy lotion that isn't real perfumey like the ones at Bath & Body. (although I love their body wash and other products!) Vaseline has made me fall in love with this new spray & go deal! It's a clean scent that isn't over powering and it is not greasy at all! I've sprayed it all over and then put my clothes on and not felt that stick feeling!
I used to use Double Extend Mascara back in the day and then for some reason I started trying different ones, but nothing compared to it. So, a year later, here I am back in love with my Double Extend! I've had some bad luck with my jeep lately and I'm not real happy with it. I've been looking to replace it. Subaru is starting to take my heart from Jeeps. Even though I love my Jeep very much, I think I found it's replacement! (stay tuned!)

I'm still loving my Dove hair therapy! I've been through 5 bottles already! If you haven't heard of or used this yet, go now and get some! Best detangler everrr! It doesn't weigh my hair down or make it oily!

Having the Hubs home has been great! Zane has soaked up every single moment and so have I!

The first t-ball practice went great Friday! A lot of the parents participated and helped get the kids started with catching, batting, and learning to run the bases! I had fun being out there and encouraging the kids to do their best! I am pumped up about the season for sure now! After practice I asked Zane what his favorite part was and he said "Everything Momma!" I also asked if he could pick one part what would it be he liked best, he said "Everything" again! Bless him! He's so happy about playing!

It's OK...

...that I drove the hubs truck two days this week so I wouldn't have to put more gas in Black Betty.

...Zane starts t-ball this year and the first practice is tomorrow night! He is excited and I am nervous that this will not end well. Any encouragement or tips?

...that last weekend I went more blonde. I'm not sure how I like it or not. I'm used to having different contrasts in my hurr! We shall see!

...that I am planning a trip with my best friend to Ashville in April and I plan to meet up with my NC blogger girls!!!

HARD TO SPEAK

I have no clue how to start this post today. Y'all, my mind has been all over the place. I know that I try to document everything that I can. This is something I want to remember looking back, but it's just crazy hard to share. I won't go too deep but I will give you the gist of things that's been going on.

The past two weeks or so have been a freakin' roller coaster! I haven't been very into blogland because all my thoughts and energy have been exhausted by what has taken place. Let me explain. My hubby has been working in Kansas since early December. We spent our Christmas out there. We also knew that he would be out there for a long undetermined amount of time. We are used to him working out of town 3 to 4 weeks at a time, but usually he is close enough that we can drive to see him on the weekends.

Kansas isn't that convenient to South Carolina at all. It started effecting me emotionally. I was sad not to be able to see my hubby, but not only did it effect me, Zane was showing signs too. (poor baby) The hubs then decided that he would fly home in the middle of January one weekend and visit! We were SO happy!

Then he flew back to Kansas after two days. Saying goodbye sucked. We knew it would be a while before we saw each other again. We talked on the phone, sent each other mail, and tried to video chat. It isn't the same as seeing each other in person. If you have ever tried a long distance relationship, you know it's hard work. We survived and I'm glad that our relationship is strong enough. Time went by and he was told it's possible he would be working there for even longer than expected. He was okay with this as long as he could have his family. So we had made a BIG decision that we were going to move out there. To Kansas. Like pack up our whole life and move west.

I was anxious, but not in an excited way. I mean, don't get me wrong, I was happy about the journey upon us and that we'd see so much and have new experiences out there. I was also extremely happy that our family of 3 will be together again! I put in my two weeks notice at work and was beginning to pack and plan this huge move. I was overwhelmed with emotions about packing our stuff, from making a timeline so that everything fell into place, doing this packing, moving, & organizing all by myself. I felt like a control freak, that's one thing that I am not! I was planning everything to a tee. I had it all together in two days and my thoughts and emotions were coming together and I was starting to see the light at the end of this dark tunnel.

The next day I get a call from the Hubs. Everything I had planned out and stressed over was coming to a screeching halt. I had a sense of relief come through my body but sadness came too. We were not moving. Things didn't work out like he was told they would. Another sense of excitement ran through my veins as he told me he would be coming home soon! I was ecstatic at that moment. I would soon have my partner back. Someone to fill the emptiness in my heart where he once was. I didn't realize until that day how much I really missed my husband. I was glad that he was coming home to be with us again. He was on his way home to SC the next day! I was tickled and so was Zane! We are so happy that this ended up working out the way it did. It was meant to be for us to stay home!

WHAT THA WHAT?!?

Well I am completely shocked! I so didn't this going the way is went! IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FINALE, YOU MIGHT WANT TO SKIP THIS POST UNTIL YOU'VE DONE SO!

Y'all seriously, this finale couldn't have been more misleading! From the visits with Sean's family I just knew who he would pick!
Lindsay and Sean's Dad really had a special moment! I was blubbering in tears! It was the sweetest thing when he told her about praying for Sean's wife when Sean was born! I almost felt like he wanted to say that that girl was her! I was on the edge of my seat by then!
When Catherine met the family I felt some awkwardness. Or that is what ABC portrayed! I didn't think she connected as well with Sean's family as Lindsay had, but it may be because I am a bit biased! Who knows!

The last one on one dates that Lindsay and Catherine had with Sean were not what I would have thought. I think by then Sean knew who he was going to pick and played off that. I knew how it was going to end by then. Let's be honest, Lindsay and Sean's last date sucked! They rode down the muddy river on a tiny raft and drank champagne. Really? Could it have been more obvious after they showed Catherine's date riding elephants in the forest? I knew then who he would be choosing at the end of the show!
I'm really surprised that he chose Catherine over Lindsay. Catherine just seems unreal, unfocused, and immature. I've said that from the get go. Lindsay has it together and she and Sean wanted all the same things. I can see why it was so hard for him to let her go. I mean the guy cried sincere tears as he let her down in the easiest way possible!

She took it in and left with class. The best part was, as she walked away she took her heels off and walked on! She had no ugly scenes to make or things to say. She left beautifully and I'm proud of her! She will make a guy really happy one day!
Then, there's the letter. I thought it would be from Des confessing her love once more before Sean made a decision. But, I was wrong. That letter was the cutest and sweetest thing from Catherine!
Then Catherine came out and you could really see the attraction between these two. It's almost like it magnified once they laid eyes on each other! Catherine's reaction was priceless! Her breathing sped up and her lip started quivering. I know she was fighting back so much emotion! Then he dropped to one knee! She instantly hugged him, not once looking at the ring! She didn't care about that ring, all she cared about was being with Sean for good! I'm actually happy for them!

And I TOTALLY CALLED THE NEW BACHELORETTE!!! JUST SAYIN~! I will be watching!
