This Year So Far Hasn't Been What I Expected.

In all honesty this year so far has been a rough for me personally. I've had some gallbladder issues, some back, and neck issues too.  I'm not one to complain. I am a little whiney, but that's different to me. lol I'm taking it one day at a time. I know others have it harder than I do. So enough of this pitiful crap, let's catch up shall we?

Well, it has snowed twice here since I have talked to y'all! TWICE! It was a lot of fun! We went sledding. We pulled the sled with the teryx and really had fun! We also drove around our community even where cars had not been in two days! It was a winter wonderland around here for a few days.

(yes, that would be Willow photobombing! aka pooping!)

In the South we don't get much snow so when we get it we enjoy it as much as possible. It was nice but I am glad to see it go. Bring on Spring baby! The flip flop weather and beach time is what I am ready for! We don't have a big vacation planned this year, so we will be hanging out at the beach as much as we can this summer. I'm ready to just relax and let go of all this stress!

Valentine's day came and went. We didn't really celebrate big this year. We just exchanged I love you's and did dinner together. 5 days later was the Hubs birthday. He has been working nights and we really didn't get to celebrate. Zane and I did bake him a red velvet cake, per the hubs request. :)

We took a drive one day the hubs was off a came across my favorite waterfall! Bald River Falls! The hubs and I have lots of memories in this area of NC/TN. We shared that with Zane for the first time. He wasn't too enthused. Oh well.

That about wraps it up. I've been super lazy and have no motivation right now. I will get back on track once I get back to feeling myself again. It's a work in progress. That's life y'all! Until next time, keep on keepin on!

Life Currently

I feel like lately I haven't shared much of myself and what's been going on in my life. I feel really reserved here lately. I haven't done it on purpose, I just don't have a lot of things going on in my life right now. It's sort of laid back, I'm not quite used to it because we are always on the go! I got this idea from Katie, hope she don't mind!

Reading: Blogs that I haven't read in a day or two. Zane was sick the past two days with a virus. I haven't done much of anything that doesn't involve Lysol or gloves.

Watching: The Bachelor, duh! I will be sad when it's over. Wow, I just said that! I also cannot WAIT for Duck Dynasty to come back on. I think Zane is more excited than I am!

Loving: I'm loving helping a friend plan parties for both of her girls! So much fun! A neon/glow party and a spa party! I cannot wait to take pictures! That the ground hog predicted that we will get our spring soon enough! ha! Do you think he's right? So far it's still cold for me.

Looking Forward To: To seeing the Hubs again. Sooner than later, I hope! Going to the beach! I am dying to go like now! If only I could get the time off!

Wondering: My mind wonders all the time. I think about the what-ifs, the might have beens, what could be, and everything in between. Right now, I am wondering what our future holds. I am hoping for something big to happen soon, but I still have no inclination that it will happen. It's just a what-if with fingers crossed. Want some enlightenment on this? Well, I can't share it right now, but if it happened, you bet your ass you WILL know about it!

Cooking/Baking: Since the hubs is not at home for dinner, it is so hard to cook at home. I still do it, but not as much. I go to my parents house a lot to eat dinner. At least twice a week sometimes more. I did cook this amazing one pan meal the other night!

Disliking: that I don't spend a lot of time outside right now. For one, it's still cold out. Two, my knee is finally almost to the 100% mark! Before that, I was scared to be outside and fall! I'm not a klutz but with a dislocated knee balance is not my thing!

Making Me Happy: the Hubs sent me a new lens for my camera for Valentine's day! I got a 50mm! I'm excited to be playing with it. Just gotta get used to it. It's like another world!

Wishing youa FABULOUS DAY and the rest of the week! If you're new around here-please speak up and say hi! :) I'm so happy to have you here!

Oh Happy Day!

*sings* Oh happy dayyy! Everybody now...Oh HAPPY DAY-AYYY!!!

These are the valentines that Zane and I made for his class! I'm proud to say I came up with this on my own. No Pinterest needed! hollla!
To all of you single ladies out there, fear not, this day can be a great one if you make it that way! Pile up on the couch and watch some of the best movies ever! Like the 10 that my girl Erica from Fashion Meets Food picked out!

I'm kind of bummed that I will not be spending this Valentine's Day with my husband. It's okay, we can handle it! We sent each other gifts! I cannot wait for him to get his! In his package there are 6 days worth of gifts leading up to his birthday on the 19th! My cousin Amy pictures last night of the first gift! (Amy! love ya!)

Honey, I love you but you need to shave! ;) Also, your stance in the second photo resembles Tickle from Moonshiners, stand up straight. Love you bunches!

A while back I ordered myself a new camera strap! I got one from Lori at See Lori Sew on etsy. God bless Esty! I swear that place is amazing! This is a great quality strap, not a strap cover, like a lot of them are. I also ordered it extra long so that I could wear it like a crossbody. I feel when I am not using it and walking it doesn't bounce everywhere when I wear it that way. If you are in the market for a camera strap, check out See Lori Sew! Tell her I sent ya!

*Ahem* Ladies share with your man!

Okay Ladies, here is where you need to holler for your man!
('HONEY! COME LOOK!')

So share this post with him! It may just make you love him even more! ;)
We're all in this together right?!? RIGHT! I gotcha back girl!

Okay guys, listen up! If you can follow ALL the Do's on this list, you will be the BEST VALENTINE EVER!
You lady will be thanking you long after V-day is gone! *wink*wink*

Let me explain these.
Make your beautiful lady's day by making it personal! I mean make it more about her and not going out shopping for some crappy card that sings. I get it, you don't like this one bit, but if you will just scribble write a little note to tell her you love her and why, she will keep it forever! Promise!
Don't forget every woman loves flowers! Don't get just the normal roses unless she is a die hard rose fan! Get something unique that all the other girls will envy! But don't stop there because flowers perish! Jewelry is where its at! It will last her a lifetime and she will be one lucky lady to have such a great Valentine!

Don't give her her the normal box of chocolates. I mean really, she just made a resolution to lose weight and you buy her a dang box of chocolates?! No wonder she can't stay focused on losing weight when you are tormenting her with the ONE thing a woman with cave into when trying to lose weight. JUST SAY NO CHOCOLATES!

You can take her to dinner even though I said NO CHOCOLATES! She can still eat right at a restaurant. Don't take her to freakin McD's or Taco Hell. Take her somewhere nice that you don't normally go to. Maybe even candle lit! Make sure you can find a sitter well in advance if you have children. She wants to celebrate with you, her Valentine, not the whole crew!

If you can't find a sitter or just can't leave the house, run her a warm candle lit bubble bath. Some women I know LOVE lavender Epsom salt baths! They are very relaxing! Don't let her do anything. I mean don't let her cook, clean, or even lift a finger. If the kids are old enough you can get them to help by catering to mom!

At night when all your hard work of being a GREAT Valentine seems like its coming to and end, you still have one thing left to do. Cuddle with your lady! Spoon with her, put your body next to hers. Remind her that she is great and that you love her. Kiss her goodnight and continue to hold.
Are you still with me man?
I know. It's a lot to take in. KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE!

Don't forget to say...

Ladies, you can thank me later for this post. If you feel the need to add some ideas please let me know! I know that sometimes a man finds it a real challenge to please a lady on St. Valentine's Day! That's why I'm here to help! Good Luck Girls!

***All opinions are mine and only mine. I have linked to specific companies only due to the products they have are pleasing to the woman's eye in my opinion. These companies did nothing for me other than make me hope that my hubby will read this post!

St. Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day Y'all! My family and I will not be going out in those crowds for dinner tonight! We always choose to stay home and not fight the madness! But this past Saturday night my husband and I celebrated good 'ole V-day by going to a Mystery Dinner at Magnolia Manor with my parents. I was sketchy at first, but it was great! Loads of fun! They interacted with the crowd well and made it so much fun! Magnolia Manor hosted the event and Show Offs! of Anderson, SC did the Mystery! For dinner the cranberry/pecan salad started us off and it was tasty! For the entree' we had a choice of Chicken Monet with rice pilaf & green beans or Pork Medallions with mash potatoes & green beans. For dessert we could pick from cherry chocolate cheesecake, chocolate cake, or a parfait! All was yummy! Dinner was prepared by Glenn the owner and he did a fabuouls job! The staff of MM were friendly and fast! Thank you Joann & Glenn for hosting such a great event!
