So if you read here regularly you know that most of my posts so far this Fabulous February have been link-ups, very cool link-ups I might add! I have not posted much about my life journey lately. So now is better than any to catch you up on life's happenings!
My Sewing Project!
1. Cutting all the triangles out!
2. All the printed triangles sewn together to a white triangle!
3. Creating the pattern.
4. Putting the pattern together!
This picture below shows a mock up of what the finished project will somewhat look like! I'm pretty excited! Once it is complete I will share with you!
In other news on catching up, we got a Teryx4 side by side! It is lots of fun on another level than a Jeep! Summer time is going to be eventful for sure! Last Sunday we went with some friends to some private land to play! Here are a few photos I was able to capture!
The Hubs, Zane and I got really dirty! There was mud in places and dust in places. Crazy I know! They made fun of me at the end of the day when I took off my sunglasses and had dust rings around my eyes! ha!
I have also noticed I have a few new followers!
Welcome! I am glad to have y'all here! I hope you stick around! I can't wait to get to know you!
My sweet cousin Amy sent me these totally cute shoes! I love them! I want more! She sent me these in exchange for a stocking that I made her to match her Christmas decor!
My Sewing Project!
My new zebra rotary cutter and mat! |
So I am making a quilt! Obviously! I have never made one, so I hope this turns out nice! So far so good! I decided to start this quilt as a gift for my best friends birthday! I got online in search for the perfect fabric. I found Moda's Hello Luscious charm pack and I was SOLD! I had no clue where to start or how I would lay them out. I got on Pinterest, go figure, and found that I loved the Chevron pattern! It looked easy as well! So I got some white fabric to put in the mix and started cutting! Luckily, charm packs are 5x5 inch squares so all I had to do was cut them at a 45 degree angle. On the white, I had to cut 5x5 inch squares and then cut them diagonally! Whew! Yes, that was a lot of cutting! It took me about two evenings! Once I got them all cut, I started sewing the printed pieces to the whites. It all started coming together from there on out.

Well folks, that's about it! Other than Zane asking me to paint my nails pink with sparkly tips, I've been lazy! Laying back and reading blogs and link-ups. I like being lazy but I like to share me too, so look for some new posts! If there is something you would like to me to talk about, let me know!
Oh, and Zane asked me to share with you that Buzz played in my sunroof today! Happy Thursday Y'all!
