Fabulous Valentine Challenge {Day 6}
Love to be Creative - recipes, crafts, gifts, etc
Y'all know this girl has crafting and cooking her blood! I am sharing a craft and a recipe too! Enjoy!
This is a quick craft you could make for your Valentine!
Supplies:
- Wooden Frame ($0.98 from craft section at Wally World)
- Modge Podge
- Foam Brush
- Fabric
- scissors
- Accessories (ex: ribbon, pom poms, bling, etc.)
Fabric Covered Picture Frame
Remove the plastic from wooden frame and take out the center paper/picture.
Take fabric face down and put frame on top face down as well. Trace with a pen the outside and inside area of the frame. Cut out the tracing with scissors.
Take your foam brush and Modge Podge the wooden frame. Place your fabric cut out on top and smooth out with your hand making sure that it is even. If it isn't even you can peel it off and try again. It's okay to have some hanging over the edges. Once it is dry you can cut that off. After you have your fabric in place, Modge Podge over it once more to 'seal it in' so to speak. Let it dry completely and then you can trim the excess fabric and add your accessories. In this picture I used ribbon and pom poms.
Now add a picture of you and your valentine and you are good to go! It doesn't have to be a picture either, you can add a saying or anything you put your mind to!
I am going to share with you a quick and very simple way to make a yummy strawberry cake! The HUBS always requests this for his birthday!
You can thank my Moma for this recipe! ;) Thanks Ma!
Mix the cake according to the box directions. Add a cup of sliced strawberries into mix. Bake in two round pans by the directions on the box. Let cool and remove from pans.
Ice the first layer and add as many strawberries as you can to the top of that first layer. Then place second layer on top and ice the whole cake. Place a few strawberries on the top and BA DA BING! You're done! Serve and enjoy!
Link up and have some fun!
That cake looks delish!!!
