Graduation 2013

This past Saturday, I attended a graduation. It was probably the first time I had since my brother's. My best friend Dana's, niece graduated high school and I HAD to be there! I am super close with Beth and I am proud of the woman that she is becoming! Being at that graduation brought back so many memories. For the first time ever I said that "What I'd give to be back in high school again." I promise that is the only time that will happen! I just say that because it was a simple time in life. This day was also emotional because I know what real life is like and she has not a clue! No teenage graduating has any clue of what they are about to face in the new life ahead of them. Good or bad, I can remember being scared to death!

After the ceremony we met Beth outside and congratulated her for her accomplishments. We hugged her, loved on her, and her Daddy even picked her up he was so proud! I know her Momma was looking down on her from heaven with the biggest cheesiest grin ever! That's just what she did. Beth reminds me so much of her mom.

Beth, I pray that you follow God with all your heart and not let temptations in this cruel world get the best of you. You are a beautiful yet, a soulful woman. You've been through so much already in your life that has made you as strong as you are. Even though you know your strength, the evil things in this world can take you over in seconds. So always remember that God is there to help you and guide you to the successes in life. I pray that you become a successful nurse and have love and faith for each patient that you encounter. You've touched my life in so many ways I can't even count. You're like a little sister or niece that I will never have. You already know that I've deemed you my niece, so no turning back now. I love you and wish the best for you in the new adventure that you are about to embark on.

  1. I can't say that I miss high school...raising your hand to ask to go to the bathroom isn't enjoyable!
