Neon Swagger

Three months ago I started helping a friend plan her daughter's 13th birthday. We started out with a Mustache theme. That went out the window when almost every birthday party she went to had some sort of mustache theme or touch to it. No, No, No, we can't be like them. Everyone has got to be different. Especially when it comes to teenagers!

Well, my friend and I start browsing the interwebs and good ole trusty Pinterest. Visions of blacklights and neon colors started dancing through our heads! That's when we decided on a Neon Party!
I created an invitation and we took it from there!

Names, Location, Time, Etc are blurred out for protection!

The party started with the lights on while everyone arrived. There was a table full of glow sticks, necklaces, rings, glow hair spray, and even face paint! The teenagers loved decking out in glowing accessories!

Once all the guest had arrived, the lights went out and the party got hoppin'! These kids were not shy! They got out there and danced their hearts out! It helps to have such a good DJ too! ;)

The party was a hit! Even the adults had a great time! It was a lot of fun to capture all the moments with my new 50mm! I'm still getting used to it, but so far so good!

  1. Love it! My sister and I actually did something similar with my newphew, except we called it a black out party! We took black tarp and blacked out the the back porch all the way around and splattered glow in the dark paint on the walls, ceiling, etc. They had a blast! Love the Neons!!! :)
