Welp, I'm off to see the Wizard!

While I am cooped up in the truck and on the road, I won't be posting very much for the next week or so! I will only have my cell phone and my kindle. If you want to talk and keep me occupied, you can email me or find me on twitter! I hope that you will, because I will be in this dang truck for at least 24 hours! If you have been following me for a while, you should know that my little family and I are heading west for vacay! You can read more about it in this post. We're going to Colorado! So, I kind of lied in the title. I'm not off to see the wizard. I'm going to see this pretty lady named Monica when we first get out there! I will also be meeting Jen! Words cannot express how excited I am to meet both of these beauties!

Today, Monica is my very FIRST guest post here at TCCG! Please make her feel at home here. Take it away girl!

Thank you Annabelle for inviting me to do a guest post on your blog!

I want to do a post on something I feel very strong about! Religion!! I know it's a very touchy subject for some and I hope I don't offend anyone! I grew up in the catholic church and as a young girl I was taught that if you don't live by the bible you will not get into heaven! I remember making my first holy communion, going in the big box to confess my sins to the priest and saying the rosary every night before going to bed! I remember being so scarred growing up that I wasn't going to heaven because I did commit sin! Why does there have to be So many different religions when there is just one God? As adult I have come to realize that God loves me no matter what church I may or may not go to! He loves me with or without my tattoos! He loves me even if I have too much to drink and have a mouth of a sailor. He died on that cross to forgive us for all our sins! I'm not perfect but then again no one is! So for those people out there who think its ok to judge other people maybe they should take a really good look in the mirror and go back to their bible.
"Thou shall not judge!"

Thank you Monica! I know exactly what you mean. Everyone has their own idea of how things should work, but in the end he is the only one who can judge us. I cannot wait to give you a big southern hug!

If you don't follow me on Twitter or instagram, you're missing out! I will be posting on those a lot while I'm traveling!

  1. Annabelle, I hope you and your family have a great time...and some cooler weather too! Great post, Monica, and very true! I like to call it a "relationship" not a "religion." If God didn't love sinners, He wouldn't love any of us, and He for sure wouldn't have sent His son to die for us! Thanks for sharing!
