Phone Dump

So, I've got a few photos off my camera from our beach vacation and the Fourth of July.

We spent 4 days down at the coast. As you might know, we go to Surfside a few times a year. We love it there and one day when I retire, If that's even an option when I get old, that's where you will find us. {or Outerbanks}

We spent most of our time outside on the beach. We relaxed and played hard. My mom and I have birthdays one week apart. Seven days to be exact. So we celebrated while we were with family.

Zane was really good the whole time. No melt downs or putting on the fake cry act. Ugh! I hate that crap! Ain't nobody got time fo dat! Let's have fun! Somehow he found a plunger and wanted to play ball with it. I had to bribe him to put it away and go wash his hands! lol He loves his 'little sister' but he so annoying to Willow. Poor pup.

Celebratory drinks and a surprise birthday cake for Mom and me! That drink combination is the bomb! The cake was made by the Hubs and my Grandmother. Red velvet with cream cheese icing and the thick white center you see is cheesecake. That's right folks! It was delish!

We ventured out riding around Pawley's Island and had pizza. Zane insisted he drink from 3 straws. Whatevs boy! My mom and I convinced the Hubs to take us to World Market. It was my Mom's first time. She loved it! I stumbled upon Chocolate Bandaids. I've never got sick about chocolate. Until now. No, just no.

Bumming out on the beach was and is our thing! We like to go out early after breakfast and get our day started. The beach is so nice and quiet then! When 11am rolls around that's when the crowds start rolling in and we roll out! I can't stand to be out there when every body and their brother's sister's mother's first cousin is out there. It seems like every five minutes you get a whif of different flavors of tanning oil and sunscreen. No thank you, I have my own to sniff. I guess that's part of being at the coast when it's a summer holiday. I still love it no matter what.

The boys worked so hard building sand castles that they worked up an appetite for some frozen lemonade. Zane loves to just run up and get his own. I joke with him and tell him that he just likes it because of the pretty girls.

Saturday evening we met up with my best friend and her family for dinner. We had a great time as always when we are together!

We enjoyed our trip and are ready for the next one! I'm so thankful that my grandparents provide us with a place at the beach. They are so great, not only for having this place, but being the best most selfless people that I know! Next vacation: Pennsylvania here we come! 14 days to go! Whew I love summer time!
