Saw It. Pinned It. Did It. {SPD} #2

So I know that I left you a long while back with this...

I know y'all were thinking..."What the hell is she going to do?"
Well have no fear...Underdog is here! Haha I kid! I really do have good intentions of leaving you hanging! {but not as long as I did!} This has got to be one of my favorite projects so far! Other than my turquoise dresser! Which I will finish that guest room one dang day! It takes time and money...which reminds me, "Babe, I need to go to HomeGoods, can I have your card?" haha Wait, I don't have a local HomeGoods. Damn.

Okay before I get anymore distracted, let's get on with this pinterest project! A while back I pinned this and was in complete love! I drooled over it and bugged the crap out of the hubs to take a tire to the shop to get the rim off for me. He found me two better, same size tires with a rim, which was much better. Then to only realize you can still do this project with a rim! (more on that later)

So we got home after dinner one night and the hubs started cutting on one of the tires in the living room. Only because it was dark outside and about to rain. I don't normally allow these kinds of shenanigans to go on in my casa!

Then we tried to turn it inside out. It was not the easiest task! It was hard work! Steve tried it that night and was unsuccessful. I tried it the next day and was unsuccessful. Then we tried it again together and finally got it! Yay! The only thing I didn't do that I originally wanted to do was paint it. I decided against it because it looked great the way it was with our yard. I do want to find a small lawn mower tire or something to that size to paint pink for my porch and plant something that will hang over the edges in it.

Remember how I told you that I also found out that you can leave the rim attached? Yeah well, you can! It will come out like an urn! This one is beautiful!

  11. Yep, I love it! I'm not much of a gardener, but I could maybe see myself being able to grow something in this. But I really just want one of those old tires for a tire swing for the kids. ;-)
