Always: I usually end up going out to lunch. SMH.

Sometimes: I don't want to cook supper.
Always: End up cooking something, even if the hubs says he will cook.

Sometimes: I try to count my calories via MyFitnessPal.
Always: I end up forgetting to log it all in, but will remember to three days from then.

Sometimes: I wish to hire a maid to clean my house.
Always: I do it myself.

Sometimes: I want to come home from work and do nothing.
Always: I end up doing something that I don't want to do.

Sometimes: I tell people things that I am going to do.
Always: Not always do I follow through. I forget every now and then. (someone stay on my tail plz)

Giveaway time!

Okay ladies, it's time for a giveaway! Why? Just because I love my readers!

The Hubs got me a Kindle Fire for Christmas this year and I cannot seem to put it down! I take it every where! If you have one, you know the love that comes with having one. If you don't have one, go bat your pretty eyes at your lover and say "please, can I have one?"

Since it is still February, I am showing love by giving away a Pink Kindle Fire case! I have one myself and I love it! I can fold it back and read/play games or I can prop it up and read off recipes! It's made of leather and doesn't get dirty easily! I wish I could giveaway a Kindle Fire to go in this pretty case, but unfortunately funds don't allow. Sorry Y'all!

  • Tell me what you love about your Kindle Fire! If you don't have one yet tell me what you would do with it if you had one.

  • Be a follower of this blog and leave a comment saying you are!

  • Share about this giveaway on your blog and comment that you did here with the link!

  • Take one of my Buttons and post it on your side bar for a week! Leave a link in the comments saying you did so!

Please remember to post separate comments for each entry and to leave your email in the comment if you don't post it on your blog or have it in your profile!

This Giveaway will end Next Friday, March 9, 2012! That gives you two weeks to share the love with all your blog friends!

This giveaway is now closed!

Thank you, Thank you Very Much!

First of all I want to thank my readers! I don't have a whole lot, but I read all of your blogs and I enjoy commenting and emailing you! It makes my heart smile that you are all so qinuwine! So, Thanks Y'all, for everything! I'm in a great mood can't you tell!?

Yesterday, the Hubs told me I had a package! For the life of me I couldn't remember what I had ordered off the world wide web! Then it hit me, I won a giveaway from Tamara's blog T Times Three!
Tamara send a cute note along with my prize! Her hand writing is fabulous! "I love you because" print and frame is what my prize was. I got to choose my color, of course I picked green, it's my fav! I had the perfect place to put this! On my mantle where I had just put my Easter decor! Ignore that ugly speaker that my hubby insists on having there. I love it and the hubs wrote on it last night but I forgot to take a picture but her wrote: "I love you because you cooked supper!" Sweet! This might be a new thing between us! Thank you Tamara!!! Check out Tamara's blog! I love her wedding photos!

I also tried a Pinterest dessert last night! Chocolate chip pizza! I left it in the oven too long and almost burnt the bottom! I did make an icing drizzle that was not included in the recipe! Other than the cake batter running over the edges and almost burning the bottom, it was great! Next time I will use a bigger pizza pan or put foil in the bottom of the oven.

Are you anticipating the Spring arrival as much as I am?

I have also updated my button! You can grab it here, but it is also on the left side bar of this here blog! The older one is still there for you to have options! I like a little variety in my life, don't you?

Catching Up on the Good Times

So if you read here regularly you know that most of my posts so far this Fabulous February have been link-ups, very cool link-ups I might add! I have not posted much about my life journey lately. So now is better than any to catch you up on life's happenings!

My sweet cousin Amy sent me these totally cute shoes! I love them! I want more! She sent me these in exchange for a stocking that I made her to match her Christmas decor!

My Sewing Project!
My new zebra rotary cutter and mat!
So I am making a quilt! Obviously! I have never made one, so I hope this turns out nice! So far so good! I decided to start this quilt as a gift for my best friends birthday! I got online in search for the perfect fabric. I found Moda's Hello Luscious charm pack and I was SOLD! I had no clue where to start or how I would lay them out. I got on Pinterest, go figure, and found that I loved the Chevron pattern! It looked easy as well! So I got some white fabric to put in the mix and started cutting! Luckily, charm packs are 5x5 inch squares so all I had to do was cut them at a 45 degree angle. On the white, I had to cut 5x5 inch squares and then cut them diagonally! Whew! Yes, that was a lot of cutting! It took me about two evenings! Once I got them all cut, I started sewing the printed pieces to the whites. It all started coming together from there on out.

 1. Cutting all the triangles out!
2. All the printed triangles sewn together to a white triangle!
3. Creating the pattern.
4. Putting the pattern together!

This picture below shows a mock up of what the finished project will somewhat look like! I'm pretty excited! Once it is complete I will share with you!

In other news on catching up, we got a Teryx4 side by side! It is lots of fun on another level than a Jeep! Summer time is going to be eventful for sure! Last Sunday we went with some friends to some private land to play! Here are a few photos I was able to capture!
The Hubs, Zane and I got really dirty! There was mud in places and dust in places. Crazy I know! They made fun of me at the end of the day when I took off my sunglasses and had dust rings around my eyes! ha!

Well folks, that's about it! Other than Zane asking me to paint my nails pink with sparkly tips, I've been lazy! Laying back and reading blogs and link-ups. I like being lazy but I like to share me too, so look for some new posts! If there is something you would like to me to talk about, let me know!

Oh, and Zane asked me to share with you that Buzz played in my sunroof today! Happy Thursday Y'all!

I have also noticed I have a few new followers!
Welcome! I am glad to have y'all here! I hope you stick around! I can't wait to get to know you!

Eleven Y'all!

Sweet Leslie at A Blonde Ambition, has a cute post today! Go Check it out! I am posting my answers the the questions she asked!

 1. If you could raid any celebrity's closet, who would it be and why? Hmm, good question! I would probably raid Reese Witherspoon's. She is simple yet chic. I have always admired her. Although she is 100 times smaller than me! If I chose someone my size, it would have to be Melissa McCarthy! She is naturally beautiful and funny!
Who you say?

Yes, the fat chick from Bridesmaids!
(far left for those of you who are like Shallow Hal)

2. If you were a shoe, what would you look like? No description needed!

3. What is your biggest pet peeve? Someone smoking at the entrance to a non-smoking area! Grrr!!!

  4. Favorite song of all-time? Honestly, I don't have just one favorite song of all-time. But I will have to say that the Dixie Chicks will be my all time favorite group along with singer Julie Roberts!

5. Are you a dog person or a cat person? And why? (If you don't like animals, we can't be friends.)
I am a dog person through and through!
Willow Kate

6. You're queen for a day. How do you spend your royal 24 hours? Queen for a day?!? Oh my! I have never thought about it so I probably would spend it no differently than I normally do; with family and friends.

7. What's the most delicious thing you've ever eaten? Sushi; A Tokyo roll from a local Japanese restaurant!

8. What scares you the most? (This can be deep and complex or shallow...whateva you feel like!)Death. It scares everyone. It's supposed to. But it scares me most because I seem to think about it when I am in my car driving. I guess that is because I lost my brother to a car wreck.

9. Which celebrity do you wish would drift off into obscurity? No one particular celeb sticks out. But i can name a few that i can't stand! Octo Mom, Carrot Top, I hate hearing anything about Tom Cruise and his 35 kids, and when a celeb dies its all you hear for a light year until another dies and out shines the other!

10. You're 16 years old again. What advice would you give your younger self? Stop worrying about boys they are nothing but trouble! Especially the ones you hang out with! Strengthen your relationship with GOD. Live right by him and all choices in life will come a lot easier. Remember to love your brother even though he gets on your nerves and takes your stuff. Hug him tight everyday and your parents too! Eat right and exercise daily! Oh, and quit smoking! It's freakin nasty girl!

11. What's your Starbucks order? I do not like coffee. It is way too bitter for my taste buds! Even if it has tons of sugar and fancy flavored creams! Yucky! Now ladies, I do still love some Starbucks but for different drinks than most of you. I love the Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino! It's almost like a frozen chocolate milk! Then there is the Carmel Apple Cider! Yummy!

Here are the girls I'm tagging in this game:

You. You reading this. Yep, I'm talking to you.

I can't pick 11 blog friends, so I'm tagging you all!

Here are the questions I'm asking:
1. If you could go on any vacation, money is not object, where would it be?
2. What is one weird talent you have? (please describe)
3. What is your biggest pet peeve?
4. What are you favorite shoes and why?
5. Where do you go for your little piece of sanity?
6. Can you play in the mud and get dirty or do you have to always be clean? Why?
7. What is one thing that you like about your hometown?
8. What is one this you dislike about your hometown?
9. What is one thing that you can tell me about yourself that no one knows?
10. You're 16 years old again. What advice would you give your younger self?
11. What's your favorite candy?

Same thing Leslie said, "To make this more fun, if you do decide to play along with this little game, come back here and leave a link to your blog post in the comments field sometime this week!"

I'm In!

Okay, I know, I'm a link-up loser! But Hey, I'm keeping up with my posts and not slacking like I normally do! So, Neely from A Complete Waste of Makeup is holding a link-up. NO RULES, just post anything! Okay! I can DEF. do that! Here we go:

Alright, I admit, I am going to have a vent session here. About what you might ask? My kids daycare. Ugh! I could really teach them a thing or two every now and then. They frustrate me every so often that sometimes I blow my top. Today's instance, Valentine's Day! Well y'all know that most kids have a V-day party and bring valentines to share with one another and they normally ask you to bring enough for your kids class, usually around 12-24. Right? Ha! Not them! They asked me to bring in 50 freakin valentines! That's enough to cover every kid at this daycare! Really?! 50 valentines? You've got to be kidding me? So I asked the owner's daughter just in case I miss read the letter or it was miss printed. Nope, she made it clear that I would still have to bring in 50 valentines for each kid. OMG! PAUSE. Let me get this clear, I do not mind bringing in 50 valentines. I actually love to get creative with this kid of stuff! I love to see my creations put a smile on kids faces. What I don't mind is that the owner's daughter reminded me that there are less fortunate kids that go to this daycare. What she meant by this was that there are parents that bring their kids to this daycare that don't work or have low income. I understand that, and I understood that when I enrolled my child in this daycare. But what I cannot understand is they requested ALL parents to bring in 50 valentines, not just some. Not including party supplies and goodies. I know for a fact that I spent over $20 on getting 50 valentines. So why not help parents out by asking to bring enough for just their kids class? Am I being a royal biotch here or am I being legit? Do I have a right to get upset about this?

I am writing this as I wipe tears of sadness from my big fat face. I am totally bummed out. I got an email a few days about a week ago from Picnik stating that they were shutting down their site.

I also went to their site this morning and I read this:

Picnik, I bid you a great farewell by sharing my favorite pictures that I edited with you.

A Day at the Park

I will miss you!
