Little Dilemma

I have been in a teeny weeny dilemma. I have had the Droid X for about 2 months or so now. My problem is I can't find any cute covers. I always have a cover for my phones for protection and style.

I was pretty pumped when I found these online.

But I got toally bummed out when I discoverd this...
Clairebella makes the cutest covers, but they only make them for IPhone and Blackberry.

BAH-HUM-BUG!

Do any of you sweet girlies know of cute phone covers that fit the Droid X? Help a po' girl out! :)

Reviews & Giveaways

Hey Y'all! It's Monday, but a good Monday! I am working on getting somethings together for a blog review & giveaway. I have made some contacts and hopefully I will hear back soon!
I'm really excited! So to stay up to date, become a follower and find out first!

On a different note, the weekend was a good one. We went to visit the Sis-in-law and give her some of our baby stuff we don't no longer need. Zane had lots of fun playing with her dogs, Bandit & Lola. Bandit is a young boxer and Lola is a lazy dachshund.

{sorry for such poor quailty photos, only had my phone on hand}
Don't forget to become a Follower so you don't miss all the great opportunites coming up!

Earthquakes & Hurricanes....OH MY!

This just in....There was an earthquake in Virginia that was felt here in good ole SC!? I didn't feel it, but my parents called me to see if my work was evacuating. You can read more about it on my local news here.
You see, I've never told anyone on my blog where I work. I work in the complex part of a nuclear plant. Sorry y'all I just didn't think anyone needed to know but maybe you do in case I come up missing!! {just kidding} But for realz, I didn't feel a thing! Crazy things are happenin' lately! Crazy I tell ya! Cr-Ay-Zee!

But I also don't watch alot of news, it saddens me to see all the stuff they put on the news. I'd rather watch a reality show! lol Yes, the news is reality, but its all (in a Tom Brokaw voice- love him by the way) "someone robbed a bank", "so & so shot his neighbor", & (in a redneck witness type voice) "I saw the whole thang and I got it on video, hold my beer and watch this!". I don't like that stuff. So I choose not to watch it. Okay, so maybe the last little comment isn't quite so true, but you get the point. :)

Oh Irene, Hurricane Irene that is. She just wants to come shake us up even more than previously shaken today, or so they say!

Let's hope she stays far East and leaves some rain and that's it!

Did you feel the Earthquake?

TGIF & Saving Grace {Ella Grace}

It's Friday! Woot! Woot! I've got a busy one ahead of me! I have my cousin's benefit to raise money for his new born daughter Ella Grace's hospital bills. When she was a little over a week old she had to have heart surgery. You can find out more about her story here. The rest of the day I will be preparing for my good friend Beth's Lingerie Shower, that I am hosting! I will post pics about my decor and food and friends!

Inspiration and Friendship

Alright, I honestly can say I had no intentions on a post today, but Kelle at Enjoying the Small Things inspired me. She has such a way with words and I love her kids. This girl is an amazing woman and her story is...well it's down right awesome! She is such a strong person to handle what she has been given by the greatness above.
Go to her blog and read her story. I know you will fall in love with her and her family like I have.
Kelle wrote about The Friend I Want to Be.
It inspired me, so I have to post about someone special to me as well.

I have lots of friends, but only a select few that I consider to be great true friends. One to be exact. I've been burned by lots of friends. I forgive and forget, but there will always be apart of me that holds back and makes the relationship more of an acquaintance type. This one particular friend, LaCosta, she and I have had one big mess of a blow up and didn't talk to each other for a year or so. In that year, we missed a lot in each others lives (and I hate that) but we grew up and were drawn to each other again. She and I started talking again and then ended up working together at the same place for several years. With Lacosta, I don't hold back or withdraw anything. I am crazy old me 100% of the time. There is something about us, we click, we get each other, it's like a powerful sister instinct. Whatever it is, I like it! I hope it never changes. In the past few years both of our lives have changed dramatically. We've both got kids, We're mothers now, and we try to be wise. Well, we are wiser than some we know! (or at least we think we are) :) She's taught me a lot and I've taught her a few things...even how to sew! Some how in our friendship we know it's OK if we don't talk everyday, we're not mad at each other, our lives just got busy at the moment, and we'll catch up. Eventually. We make that one phone call that lasts for hours and we vent about crazy happenings, catch up on what we've missed, and we gossip too!
It's a GIRL THING! It's so natural and that is the way it should be.

*these pictures are old and I apologize, I don't have any current ones on hand at the time of my inspiration!

I wanted to post about this because there are women out there who have never had a friendship quite like this. You will, I promise. Put yourself out there. I want you to know that it's out there somewhere, but you have to do your part. I believe that a friendship is 50/50. You do your part and I will do mine. It's a commitment for sure, but don't try too hard. They should love you for who you are not for what you aren't.
Kelle was right in her post when she gave the six fool-proof tips- Be Vulnerable. Tell them you love them. Remember little details. Really Listen. Celebrate Successes. Age Ain’t Nothin’ but a Numbah.
The last one doesn't apply to my sisterhood friendship with LaCosta, we're just a few months apart. But Kelle, you hit it dead on! These tips are the best for making a friendship last!
Go read all about the tips and Kelle's story at Enjoying the Small Things! Tell her I sent you! :)

I also hope that Kelle's words can inspire you. Share with me your story. Or do like I did and post it on your own blog! I hope that maybe one day I can get my best friend to become a blogger. A girl can only hope! Well I did talk her into facebook, maybe this too! Love ya girl! Always!

Hubby made my Day!

Well he always makes my day with a kiss each morning....but eww, you don't want to hear the sappy stuff!
You want to hear the good stuff, He got me a new Jeep yesterday! Woot Woot! I had my other Jeep forever and was getting old so she was retired yesterday. No, I didn't have a celebration for Ruby her, but I did have one last ride with her. I may or may not have told her I loved her and she would be going to a better place. :)

Meet the new addition to our family,
Black Betty!

Yes, I name my cars, I'm weird but hey aren't we all?!
Do you or someone you know give their cars a name?

Storage or Organization?

I'm not one to be a neat person or anything along those lines at all. I've struggled lately with my ribbons and keeping them in place. Well, my problem was solved last night at Target! I found a pants hanger for $6.95! It was perfect!

I can put them in order by color and when it runs out I can take it off, etc! I am so tickled to have this! I am for real thinking of getting rid of the thrift store bed in the guest room and putting the futon in there and making it mostly my craft area! Look out Hubs, here I go!

So If I do go for the guest room transformation, I want this....

Do you have any good ideas for craft storage you want to share?

Oh Brother!

BIG BROTHER 13 that is!

OMG I am addicited to this show! I love it!
If you don't watch it then you won't have a clue to what I am talking about.
It has gotten dirty the past two episodes I've seen. We all know the couple known as Brenchal. UGH!
Brenden and Rachel. I don't mind Brenden, but Rachel...I CANNOT stand her laugh!

See video

It is so annoying! She whines all the time and just gets on my nerves! I am hoping they get to vote her off this week! *fingers crossed*  Her beau Brenden got voted off this week! Yay! They are strong competitors but I don't think they play clean.
I do love....Jordan and her beau Jeff, but I've come to like newbie Kalia! She made a huge move this week putting Rachel and Jeff on the block! I sure hope that majority kicks Rachels butt where the sun don't shine! Right up out of the Big Brother house! Then everyone will be so much more happy and they can enjoy the game a little more! I can't wait to watch the POV tonight! Stay tuned readers......:)

Under the weather...Over the weather

Okay, I've been green the past two days...not sure what it was but ugh! I'm over it!
I'm also over the heat! I want the fall season to come rushing in! Even though we have a whole month left of summer heat. Bummer. My boys {Hubs & Zane} have been gone for FIVE days! Seems like forever! I've been trying to keep myself busy. Sewing and Painting a bit. The sad part is I haven't got many chances to talk to them much. The reason behind that is our lovely cell phone service. They conveniently are making network changes, whatever that means. But the Hubs can make or receive calls or texts. {Yes, I am nearly bald from pulling my hair out at this point} Luckily the hubs can use his Internet and we've been communicating that way. I just want to hear the voices of the two I love the most. Mind you, this is the longest I have been without Zane. Where in the world are they?

Yep. I didn't go. Yea. I'm regretting it. {insert pouty face with lip poked out}
I sure hope they are having lots of fun! I can't wait to hear all about it when they get back. I do know that a friend that went with them proposed to his girlfriend at 136,000 ft! So sweet! I'm counting down the days until they return home! 4 DAYS TO GO!

Anywho~ My projects that I have worked on were fun and easy!

Cotton & Fleece Taggie - Babies love tags, why not a wash cloth sized blanket with tags all around?

My friend Amanda asked me to make pillow cases for both her girls. This is what I have so far- First run She asked for Brooke's to feature the color purple and Brianna's to feature pink. Well see how it goes...:)

I made the blanket below for a friend. She had her cute baby boy this week! She loved the blanket!
Her is that sweet baby and his cousin in blue and Big Sister in red.

I'm loving the taggies and all the unique ways I can make them!
