I'm Arrivin on a Band Wagon

If you are a regular reader, you know that I will jump on a trending band wagon in a hot minute!

Well, here is the latest edition:



I've saw this "99 things" going around the blog world a while back and thought I would give it a try. This stayed in my drafts for so long I had to update some answers! The rules are to bold out what you have done. Have fun!




1. Started your own blog - Well Duh! You're here aren't you?

2. Slept under the stars



3. Played in a band

4. Visited Hawaii- maybe one day!

5. Watched a meteor shower

6. Given more than you can afford to charity

7. Been to Disneyland -does Disney World count? I say it does!

9. Held a praying mantis- this totally creeped me out.

10. Sang a solo- in church once

11. Bungee jumped -I don't think I ever could!

12. Visited Paris

13. Watched a lightening storm- more than once




14. Taught yourself an art from scratch- I stitched a quilt from scratch!

15. Adopted a child-maybe one day!

16. Had food poisoning- ugh worst thing ever!

17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty

18. Grown your own vegetables- every year!



19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France

20. Slept on an overnight train

21. Had a pillow fight- with some friends when I was younger and with my son

22. Hitch hiked

23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill-Sometimes you just need a day off

24. Built a snow fort- this might come true sooner than later!

25. Held a lamb

26. Gone skinny dipping- I'm a country girl, don't expect anything less!

27. Run a Marathon- I did the COLOR RUN IN NOVEMBER!

28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice

29. Seen a total eclipse

30. Watched a sunrise or sunset- both! On top of a mountain is the best place, a beach too!

31. Hit a home run

32. Been on a cruise

33. Seen Niagara Falls in person

34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors

35. Seen an Amish community- We lived in Iowa for several months in 2008



36. Taught yourself a new language- does a few words of Spanish count? No, not from Dora either y'all!

37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied -It doesn't matter how much money you have. You should always be happy with whatever God provides

38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person

39. Gone rock climbing- does rock crawling count? I say so!



40. Seen Michelangelo’s David

41. Sang karaoke- umm yeah as a teen but never as an adult! Okay, maybe a time or two as an adult, but I wouldn't ever sober! ha!

42. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt

43. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant

44. Visited Africa

45. Walked on a beach by moonlight- once at OBX



46. Been transported in an ambulance

47. Had your portrait painted

48. Gone deep sea fishing-This is in my future!

49. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person

50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris

51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling

52. Kissed in the rain

53. Played in the mud-Every time we go off road! Oh! AND our hometown has a mud bog once a month in the warmer months!


54. Gone to a drive-in theater

55. Been in a movie

56. Visited the Great Wall of China

57. Started a business-  I've always wanted to! I have two business dreams!

58. Taken a martial arts class

59. Visited Russia

60. Served at a soup kitchen

61. Sold Girl Scout Cookies-- I was a girl scout y'all!



62. Gone whale watching

63. Got flowers for no reason

64. Donated blood, platelets or plasma

65. Gone sky diving

66. Visited a Nazi Concentration Camp

67. Bounced a check-Hangs head in shame

68. Flown in a helicopter

69. Saved a favorite childhood toy- I have the Mickey Mouse version of Teddy Rupskin! Zane now plays with it!


70. Visited the Lincoln Memorial

71. Eaten Caviar

72. Pieced a quilt-Yep! I am proud to say that I finished it this time last year!

73. Stood in Times Square

74. Toured the Everglades

75. Been fired from a job-Yeah-let’s not talk about it lol

76. Seen the Changing of the Guards in London

77. Broken a bone

78. Been a passenger on a motorcycle-yeah twice in my life and I did not enjoy it!


79. Seen the Grand Canyon in person- Soon I hope!

80. Published a book

81. Visited the Vatican

82. Bought a brand new car

83. Walked in Jerusalem

84. Had your picture in the newspaper-I was with my great grandmother playing in the snow when I was about 3 or 4 years old!

85. Kissed a stranger at midnight on New Year’s Eve

86. Visited the White House

87. Killed and prepared an animal for eating-EVERY FALL!

88. Had chickenpox- my brother and I got them at the same time!

89. Saved someone’s life

90. Sat on a jury

91. Met someone famous

92. Joined a book club

93. Got a tattoo-you can see them all

94. Had a baby- 4 years ago




95. Seen the Alamo in person- 13 years ago



96. Swam in the Great Salt Lake

97. Been involved in a law suit

98. Owned a cell phone-What’s that? I have a smart phone...ha!

99. Been stung by a bee-One too many times

I've done 41 out of the 99 things! I think that I have a great start on life! Or I like to think so anyway!

    You have done a lot of cool things. What animals do you prepare and cook in the fall?

  3. I love this! I think you are a tad more adventurous than me. Some of them I'd be proud to have not done (like breaking a bone, been involved in a law suit, been fired...well, sorry about that one but I am sure it wasn't a great work experience anyway). You have done some cool stuff and made a great start in life. I am with you on hoping to travel more in my future. *Sigh*
